Fishing Competition Winner

Allen Leece Plyman Fishing Competition Winner

The day started at Half Moon Bay Marina at 7-30am. A bright eyed and bushy tailed 75 year young winner, Allan Leece received his prize. Allan won a new Ocean Angler Powerflex Rod, Shimano Tyrnos jigging Reel, braid, and a box of the famous jitterbug lures and Zman softbaits all from Paul Senior and Ocean Angler.

Allen had built a beautiful boat out of plywood from the Plyman and won the competition.He fix electric motor to the boat.


They set off with Volunteer skipper Craig Connelly of Touch Marketing to collect Paul Senior from Devonport beach.

After picking up Paul they headed out towards the top of Coromandel Peninsula for some workup action.

After following the birds the action started with a massive workup right beside the boat.  Dolphins and Gannets everywhere and some beautiful large snapper underneath the workup.

The Ocean Angler Lime Pickle Jitterbug and Leopard Pink Jitterbug did the business and before long there were some nice fish up to 15lb in the bin
